Heart of Istanbul - P1

08.30 - 13.00 (Monday, Thursday)

The program includes the following sights:

Taksim Square, Taksim Mosque, Istiklal Street, St. Anthony's Church, Galata Tower, Galata Bridge.

Due to its location, the neighborhood is the area through which most of the tourist routes pass. At the same time, it is not characterized by an abundance of architectural delights, but there is also something to see here.

The Monument of the Republic is a double-sided eleven-meter monument created in 1928 by Italian sculptor Pietro Canonica in honor of the 5th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.

It depicts the revolutionaries who founded the new country:

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, as well as his associates.

Taksim Mosque is a modern interpretation of Seljuk and Ottoman architecture. Its dome rises to a height of 33 meters and its minaret to a height of 65 meters. It is not just a place of worship, but also a cultural center with a digital library, places to read books and relax, and exhibition areas. Taksim Mosque, which has become another landmark of Istanbul, can be called one of the most beautiful fires for future generations.

Istiklal Street is a famous shopping avenue, the "Istanbul Arbat". There are hundreds of stores, not only national brands but also international brands, many cafes, bars, hookah lounges and nightclubs, as well as artists and musicians. The street is pedestrianized, but it is also served by the historic Nostalgie tramcar, whose route has remained unchanged for over a hundred years.

St. Anthony's Church - located on the left side of Istiklal Street, built in Istanbul in 1724 by Italian monks. It is notable for being the largest Catholic shrine in thein the city. Its first building stood for 180 years, but was demolished by the local authorities to lay streetcar tracks.

The old church was demolished and the city authorities allocated a place nearby and in 1905 construction of a new church began.

Galata Tower is one of the oldest historical monuments in Istanbul. Its age dates back to the 5th century BC! The tower is located on a high hill, so you can see it from almost any other elevated point in Istanbul.

Another favorite place for romantic walks.

The view from the observation deck is unbelievable, and the whole city appears as if in the palm of your hand!

Galata Bridge is one of the visiting cards of the city.

The bridge across the Golden Horn Bay, which connects the old and new parts of the European side.

European side. It is always crowded and close to Eminönü pier, where ferries and boats depart for the Asian part of Istanbul, the Golden Horn Bay and the Bosphorus.

At the end of the tour, for those who wish, there is an opportunity to go to the shopping center.
