The Basilica Cistern is one of the many reservoirs built underneath


Constantinople to store drinking water in case of drought or siege of the city. A staircase of 52 steps will lead you into the underground and you will see the ancient reservoir with 336 columns from various ancient temples and palaces in semi-darkness.


Nuruosmaniye Mosque is one of the big mosques in Istanbul and has one minaret. It is located in the old part of the city on Çemberlitaş Square.


Next to the mosque is the central gate of the Nuruosmaniye Grand Bazaar.


The mosque was built in 1775 and is an example of Turkish rococo. Next to the mosque are a madrasa and a library.


Grand Bazaar is one of the largest covered markets in the world. It is located in the old part of Istanbul and covers 30,700 m². There are more than 4000 stores on 66 streets of the bazaar. It is visited by over half a million visitors and tourists every day.


Inside the Grand Bazaar there are restaurants, springs, mosques, residences and even a cemetery. During the Ottoman period, the bazaar was not only engaged in trade, but also in economic and financial operations, banks worked here, and there was a stock exchange.

Column of Constantine - was built in 328 by Emperor Constantine I the Great, who founded the new capital of the Roman Empire[2] on the site of ancient Byzantium. Installed on the III hill of Constantinople, the column was to remind of Rome standing on seven hills and symbolize the connection of the old capital of the empire with the “New Rome”
